Darkest Dungeon DLC: “The Color of Madness”
First seen on Steam, also reported by PC Gamer and Shack News, the popular game, “Darkest Dungeon” has a new expansion that launches on Tuesday, June 19th: “The Color of Madness”.
The premise: an alien comet has crashed into the old Miller’s farm, just outside of the Hamlet. Those who saw the comet have suffered some… “side effects”. Contact with the Farm stopped a fortnight ago. Go investigate… if you dare!
The expansion will feature 3 new bosses – including The Comet?!? – The Farmstead, a new region, a new “Endless Quest” mode, and a new soundtrack. The expansion will cost $4.99 (U.S.); it will launch on PC first but other platforms will get their chance down the road. Check out the link to Shack News, near the top of the page, for more info!
Standalone “The Forgotten City”
PC Gamer is also reporting that “The Forgotten City”, a mod that I wrote a walkthrough for on this site, will become a standalone game:
Announced at the PC Gaming Show (a link to that is in the “Standalone Game” link), this standalone game is being built in the Unreal Engine (sweet!), with “redesigned characters and dialogue, fresh twists, lore and endings, added combat and wall-climbing mechanics, an all-new orchestral score, professional voice acting, and motion capture animations”, according to developer Modern Storyteller. If it’s anything close to the original mod, this will be a heck of a game! Just don’t forget to bring arrows.
The game is set for a 2019 release.
Thanks to Shack News and PC Gamer for the info!
