Did You Know…?

From Facebook, the “Did You Know” app is stuck on most of our Profile pages. Rather than answer the questions in the app, I’ll scroll through a bunch of the questions and answer some of them here.

  1. The video game I can play for hours: World of Warcraft. I don’t have nearly the free time this summer but if/when free days happen, I could easily put 4 or more hours in during a sitting.
  2. In my fridge, there’s always: bread. I’m cutting back on it for the summer Drum Corps season, however.
  3. The farthest I’ve ever been from home: Albuquerque, NM. It was for the 2005 NCAA Men’s Sweet 16 and Elite 8, for Pep Band. My favorite Pep Band trip!
  4. The first thing I’d do after winning the lottery is: make my family set for the foreseeable future. After that, invest and save half of what’s left.
  5. Between dogs and cats, I prefer: cats.
  6. A food I couldn’t ever bring myself to eat is: raw oysters. Just looking at them turns me green.
  7. I would like to travel to: Spain (outside the U.S.) and Houston (U.S.).
  8. Between the beach and the mountains, I’d rather spend time at: the beach. I like warmer weather more than cold, plus I like the sounds of the ocean.
  9. If I could relive one day in my life, it would be: hmmm, this is a tough one. I’d say either: High School Graduation, 1996 or Elite 8 2005. The Graduation had my entire family there. The Elite 8 win by Louisville was followed by a phone call home to my Mom and Dad; it was the last major college event that I got to talk to my Mom about – she died later that summer.
  10. My favorite superhero is: Batman, slightly over Spider-Man and Rogue.
  11. The most memorable costume I’ve worn: it’s weird – I dressed up more as an adult, than as a kid. I’d pick Killer Croc From Neverland (face-painted like DC’s Killer Croc, but with the alarm clock from the Croc from “Peter Pan”; one of my best friends went with me as Captain Hook). A close 2nd was Zombie Target Worker – I had an old Target name tag and shirt, just painted my face like a zombie. Both were fun!
  12. I wish I could speak: American Sign Language.
  13. For me, there’s no better therapy than: a phone full of music and a good book. I could spend hours somewhere, reading with background music.
  14. I hate the smell of: whatever trees those are that bloom and smell like dirty mop water!
  15. I don’t like when: someone assumes that I can’t do something or that I’m not good enough to do something.
  16. The best dance move of all time is: the one I’m not doing. 😉
  17. The scar I have the with best story is: the heart surgery scars.
  18. My favorite activity as a kid was: kickball. loved when we would get to play it at recess!
  19. Between texting and calling, I prefer: texting, and it’s not close. If we’re going to talk, let’s do it in person. Otherwise, just text me.
  20. Some good advice for passing exams is: to take 30-60 minutes after studying to do anything not related to the exam, such as reading, going for a walk, or playing a game. It relaxes you and your mind.
