Part of the weekly homework assignments for my “Intercultural Communication” class is to watch a video (or set of videos) relating to the topic that we are studying, One of the 8(!) videos for the unit on ‘Perception’ is from Syrian-born, spoken word poet, Amal Kassir. It is a 16 minute video from the TEDx series, focusing on perceptions and how you can change them by simply asking: “What is your name?” I think you’ll enjoy it.
