It’s been just under 2 months since the last War of the Foot report. Some parts are much better, some haven’t changed much, and some have flared in cycles. The Plantar Plate Tear feels like it has healed almost completely, along with the toe issues that accompanied it. I have had very few issues with that area in the last 2 months, unless I’m on my feet for a bunch of hours at once, for a few days straight.
I’ve had a handful of Fasciitis flare-ups; they’ve been painful but have only lasted a few days.
The Achilles has been MUCH more painful than normal, and the heel in general has been pretty painful for the last 10 or so days. I blame myself for that: even though it’s the end of Spring Break weekend, I’ve been on my feet – shoes on – for a lot of it; for example, long walks to and from bus stops. The Achilles has been a nuisance in waves; the rest of the heel has not been really calm for about 2 weeks.
I have a scheduled follow-up doctor’s appointment on Monday morning. I’ll let my doctor know what’s been going on since I last saw her, show her the TriLok Brace, and see what she wants to do as the next course of action.
Until then: taking it as easy as possible, if pain gets “bad”.
