Creepiness in 2 Sentences

A few weeks ago, I saw an article online where people were submitting horror stories that they had written ; the catch was that the stories had to be 2 sentences or less. Well, here are some that I came up with this morning:

I finally arrived home, after a long day at work. Sitting on the couch, looking at me, were my wife … and me.

Mrs. Krandle loved to sit in front of the fireplace in the living room. 100 years later, it still keeps her and the current home owners warm and cozy on those chilly autumn nights.

I was looking in the mirror, brushing my teeth. My reflection stopped brushing.

While sitting on a park bench, a guy sits down next to me, nods at me, and pulls a book from his jacket pocket to read. I would not have been so freaked out if he hadn’t faded away a few seconds later.

Janet got a text from her daughter Max, saying “I love you!”. Max turns 9 months old in a few days.

Kerry heard the footsteps coming down the stairs. She was home alone.

Don’t look too far into the distant cosmos. Something might look back.

James helped Ann turn away from the body in the dining room. After mistaking him for an intruder, Ann didn’t need to see James’s body with that gunshot wound any longer than necessary.

“I’m on the way down!”, said his wife, from upstairs. “Who was that?!”, yelled his wife, rushing into the hall beside him.
