It is Unofficially ‘Summerween’!

It is already in the back half of July (the 19th, as I start this post at 11:45 EDT)!

– My birthday is in 10 days! I’m going to see if I can get the following day off, in case I end up staying up/out late.

– Well, most of the world came to a near-screeching halt this morning, as a 3rd party security update crashed any and everything that uses Windows, from banks to gas stations to airlines. As a friend on Facebook said, it pays to have a QC Department.

– “Old Man Clown Show”: a summation of the 2024 Presidential Election. I don’t care what party you support, your race, or gender: just be under 70 years old, if you run for president!!

– A few days after my last post, where I promised some first impressions on games, I lost my internet (money). I finally paid off that bill and ordered a new, cheaper plan. I should be getting a new modem and router on Saturday. I can then start those games and write about them.

– Also, from that last post: the payroll issues have been fixed (I think). Bad news is that I’m now maxed out at pay rate, so no more raises unless I get promoted.

– I have another foot exam in late August. While all of the physical therapy, stretching, and walking moderation have helped ease some of the pain, the other arch, toe, Plantar Plate, and ankle issues are still there. I’ll probably need surgery – we’ll see.

– Baldur’s Gate 3 remains the most fun game I’ve ever played, and I’m not finished with it, yet. That’s saying something, since Baldur’s Gate 2 held that spot for 2 decades.

– I am interested in going after a Master’s Degree (University of Louisville has a Business/Programming degree that looks interesting) or another Bachelors. That is likely a Fall 2025 goal, though. I have not given up on marching with the Cincinnati Tradition again, but that is also a 2025 goal.
