Black History Month: Facts #20

Day 2 of Woolworth Sit-In: (L to R) Joseph McNeil, Franklin McCain, Billy Smith & Clarence Henderson, 02/02/60. From bittersoutherner.com

This Black History Month “fact” is not a “fact”, nor is it about the “A&T Four”.

It is about the 5th person in the pic: the guy behind the counter, Charles Bess, via The Bitter Southerner. It is a long, but interesting, read.
